Biography

Dr. Li-Wei Lin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Facial Surgery, and Comprehensive Ophthalmology. She practices in the greater Boston area, seeing patients in our Lexington and Concord offices with surgeries performed at Emerson Hospital in Concord or at the outpatient surgery center SurgiSite in Waltham.

Dr. Lin was selected from thousands of applicants to be one of only 20 high school graduates to attend the prestigious Boston University/Boston University School of Medicine Seven-Year Accelerated Medical Training program combining her undergraduate and medical school training. Dr. Lin graduated summa cum laude from Boston University and among the top of her class from the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Lin completed her residency training at Boston Medical Center in 2006 and went on to complete additional subspecialty training in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Facial Surgery.

Following her residency and subspecialty training, Dr. Lin remained on staff as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center where she has trained numerous ophthalmology residents at Harvard and Boston University in both clinical and surgical ophthalmology and ophthalmic plastics.

As both an ophthalmologist and an ophthalmic plastics specialist, Dr. Lin is uniquely trained to care for diseases and conditions of the eyelids, tear drain system, and eye socket to provide both beautiful cosmetic results as well as maintaining excellent functionality and vision.

Dr. Lin’s clinical interests include cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery, eyelid reconstructive surgery, tear duct surgery, BOTOX® and Restylane® injections, and cataract surgery.
